This teams mentally weak, would probably do the opposite and cause them to lose all confidence and collapse
The season can't end soon enough. If they're just going to get swept in the playoffs I'd like it to happen as soon as possible so I can stop caring about this team for a few months.

That's kind of how I feel. This last stretch of the season has been painful. Not fun at all.

It is concerning about coaches shelf life with these primadonnas though
WD was a shit coach who never got a serious coaching gig after he got fired.

Green was a shit coach.

Boudreau was done.

Tocchet has had a rather medicore history.

I think I knew regression would happen and was shocked how long it took. It's why I didn't want to make fun of the PDO thing and didn't get too high or get into the crap that we were contenders. I've kind of come to terms with it.
Regression comes for everyone, thats how it works. Anyone expecting this team to outperform its metrics forever was delusional

I don't know why they didn't just keep their PDO unreasonably high. It was working. Why change it?

It's a mistake to think that we're some young, up-and-coming team that needs to "get some playoff experience" so we can win a few years down the line.

This could easily be our peak season.

Miller and Hughes are having career years and may never play at this level ever again.

(Hughes is young but look no further than Makar peaking in 2022).

If we flop this season, we could easily regress back to being a wildcard team.

Realistically there aren't any recent Stanley Cup winners who were bolt out of the blue. Avs had to go through a lot of growing pains, so did the Lightning, Vegas, etc.

So my point stands, if management is truly turned around it might be with a much different cast of players but this team still needs to learn to win. And that applies to their coach too.

Tbh with game management most of the regular season isn't that enjoyable to watch for me anymore. Just doesn't have the allure it did when I was younger.

I would love them to reduce the number of regular season games a season, but that won't ever happen. 60 or something would be ideal.
