That whole first line has been making some fast creative passes, getting great chances with every shift. Hopefully Dean can keep him. It really seems like he's already adapted to Sutter's system.

Correct, and no way Lombardi gives Gabby that kind of a deal. A 2 yr deal would be something he would likely offer.

This, plus his up and down career. One year he's a 40 goal guy, the next he's struggling. Some obviously due to injuries, but his point totals in his career are 36, 67, 65, 40, 66, 57, 83, 23, 86, 48, 76, 27, 22
A little to erratic to commit to four years for him, especially since he has injury concerns and is now 32. He's missed an average of 17 games a season in his career, meaning in a four year deal he'd miss likely the equivalent of one full season.
I'm a huge Gabby fan, have been since before he was drafted, I wanted DL to get him so bad when he was bidding on his a UFA four years ago and I'm ecstatic we got him now and I hope we keep him around. Anything more than two years though is like a game of Russian roulette though.

We've been scoring much more than usual. And our defense has been a bit more sloppy in that regards. But I would rather have the Kings play like this, so they don't rely on quick too much.
Yes. Typical NHL Network. I told myself so Quick's save was only six best? What a joke they are.

Three games this week are on NBCSN. Ugh...
Funny, was checking the remaining schedule this morning and here in Canada the Kings are featured on TSN or TSN2 quite a bit, evern CBC. Guess they're getting the viewers ready for an extended amount of Kings games come the playoffs.

How long have we clamored for an elite winger beside Kopitar? They look so good together. Gaborik speaks so highly of Kopitar. I think we'll be seeing these two play together for many, many games.
Ever notice which fans call us boring? It's usually fans of bottom half defensive teams (Washington, Philadelphia, Toronto, Dallas, Phoenix). Perhaps if they adopted a better defensive structure they would be more successful when the games really matter.

Rogie Vachon made a save when he was with the Kings that I swear to jebus was nothing less than miraculous. It was the most amazing save I had ever seen either as a player or in now almost 40 years of hockey until I saw Quick's windmill save during the Stanley Cup run. Last night's save goes down as one of the greatest saves I have ever seen in my life. Not miraculous but not far from it. They can pump out their chests and stop hockey games to honor King Henry all they want, Quick just does his job at an amazing level in spite of the NHL's obvious lack of equal coverage of the West.
What an amazing save.
Other than that I have seen several holes in our game lately and last night is no exception. I love that we are winning and love even more that I am seeing 77 centering some talented players meaning that we have significantly more balanced O attack but there are holes in our N and D zone game that worry me going into the playoffs. I love the team and like our chances as well as seeing us getting a little better every game but I would be lying if I said we looked as ready as we did going into the playoffs in 12.
That said I think we might get things perfectly figured out right about the time the playoffs start and if we do we could be right there again. We have the horses and all that is left is letting them run.

so very true. they cite a sound defensive game is boring, but yet their teams can't win when it is important since they can't keep the puck out of their own net.
i like to also add the likes of PIT and MTL to this mix. PIT, Sid and Geno and all the bs press they get only to meltdown in the playoffs year after year. MTL, Price and the holier than thou Canadiens faithful that have forgotten more about hockey than any of us will ever know.
