Game of inches. If Buff doesn't get a stick on Carters pass, Marty is in all alone.

Carter had a bit of a rough game. Missed chances, unfortunately, but that’s just how it goes sometimes.

I was really shocked to see how completely ineffective our bottom six was. Toffoli looks like garbage playing next to Thompson and Clifford, but Kempe is outplaying him in every single way, so I’m not really surprised that he’s not on one of the top two lines.

Reider, woof, bad game today. Andreoff was as ineffective as ever, too. Hopefully Lewis comes back soon. We should put Mitchell in over Reider and call up Brodz to put in over Andreoff. When Lewis comes back, he can sub in for Clifford.

Brodzinski - Amadio - Toffoli
Mitchell - Thompson - Lewis

That’s the best bottom-six we can ice right now, I think.

The 200s are awesome, and don't break the bank
tny, Take my advice. It's one game live a little and get PR seats. Don't stand in line with the riff raff to get into the arena or stand in line to go to the restroom. Get a full service bar and enjoy the restaurant before the game as you watch the warm ups. Did I mention the best part is you don't wait in any lines with the riff raff. ;)

to be fair, that's a flames fans known for being a complete and utter imbecile, not a jets fan

Yea that was a dishearten Flames fans that thinks the Kings are lucky because they are in the PO hunt and the Flames aren't.

Cample was awesome tonight.

I've watch all of the Jets game and they were on their A game tonight yet the King were able to still get a point despite playing on a back to back and playing 3 games in 4 days. Looks like the Kings are serious about making the PO's.

All those pk's were just draining the tank. Outshot 14-2 in the 3rd, I swear i can't remember either shots.

And they took so many penalties because they were on their heels so often, which makes them more tired, which puts them on their heels, which makes them tired, etc. For the most part, if they got the puck, they were throwing it out to center ice. Campbell did all you could ask a goalie to do.

Toffoli should be up playing with Kopitar and Brown. What a waste having him in he bottom six.

Toffoli hasn't put the effort in to play top six minutes, he's been lazy in his own end, hasn't been forechecking, he hasn't played very well in the last few games.

toffoli almost set up carter with the winner and almost won it himself in ot

that wins you a bit of leeway

Not much, but he's gotta be miles better in the defensive zone, not just last night, as everyone was dog tired, but even against Minny, he was making some terrible reads, plays in the D zone

yeah but at the same time, i'm more concerned with folin's (lack of) gap control for that tip goal along with reider's "controller disconnected" backcheck

can't bench everyone right?

I'd have to watch that again, but lack of gap control wasn't gonna stop that tip in

Reider has looked pretty bad the past two games, the guy can't seem to get his stick on the puck to save his life, never mind gain possession. Never thought I'd see the day where Andy Andreoff was not the worst forward out there.

The really fun thing is going to be after being this tired...flying to a mile high city to play what would hopefully be a great game but I suspect will just be the Kings puking in their own laps on the bench...

Carter was yelling at Pearson for a couple seconds before Pearson finally passed it. Too bad Pearson couldn't get it to him sooner.

Edit: It was actually Toffoli, not Pearson.

I thought Mitchell was supposed to be this faceoff whiz with his career >53%. He's at 48% with the Kings so far with over 300 draws taken.

If Kopi outplays MacKinnon and scores some points, and we win, the folks watching MacKinnon might take notice of Kopi for Hart. A great side story to an already important game.

We're due a nice win. A comforting, non-anxiety driven 60 minute affair against a solid team. With that said, I'm not counting on it, either.

On the plus side, I thought Forbort was really good last night defensively. He's still a tire fire getting the puck out of the zone, but he was a savant in terms of stopping plays on the boards and keeping the puck to the outside.

Well sure, Campbell was easily our best player last night. Normally when our goalie is our best player, we win. Last night was a team with no energy. Fight, but no energy.

Anyways, y'all still were a couple plays away from losing. Sad.

Last night the Kings reminded me of the late days Terry Murray Kings. The Kings were not moving their feet at all. Several times you had 3-4 guys in the defensive zone/neutral zone standing completely still trying to pass it around. Of course the Jets were swarming and picking off passes since the Kings were stationary. Looked like a really tired team.
