Post-Game Talk: GM 73 | Blue Jackets def. Canucks | 7-6 (SO) (Raty x2, Karlsson, Boeser, Myers, DeBrusk) | Pain.

damn wtf happened?

when i first checked the score at work, it was 3-2. then later, 4-3. then 5-3. and when i was finally on my way home i looked and we were losing 6-5.

lanky doesn’t have trade protection does he?

I'm just so f***ing frustrated that we had an elite core and they couldn't get along. What other team would have that happen except for this team?

Trust me, anyone who reads these threads knows your frustrated  After 1 goal you say you’re done for the season, then come back and post 5+ times more in the same thread. Things like this happen to teams with good cores all the time, look at Vegas/Tampa missing the playoffs randomly during some of their contending years.

Shit happens. It’s weird the Canucks went from the best team in the league at defending leads last year to blowing so many 3 goal leads, but it is what it is.

Given they were way worse than this under Boudreau, and last years results, I doubt its a coaching problem. It’s way more likely a team personnel issue, with injuries on the blue line and some very suspect goaltending playing a big part in it.

Everytime I hear people saying "play meaningful games in march" I'm having Jet Black era vibes. They mean something if we make it else they mean f*** all.

Flames have been doing this since forever and that's why they are stuck in mediocrity. Wolf is keeping them in the fight but in the long run they won't have the talent to do something. His elite play is quite detrimental to the franchise since it keeps them from getting the chance to draft serious talent.

You could say this about 90% of the people that post here...seems like a weirdly targeted call out.

This game just reinforces the sad fact that whether or not the Canucks make the playoffs, is just a big 'meh'. This current lineup wouldn't get much done in the playoffs anyway.

I'm actually more encouraged by the all the quality minutes for young guys like Lekkerimaki, Karlsson, Raty and EP25, than I am the results on the ice.

They're now four points out with nine to play--and by far the hardest schedule down the stretch. Turn out the lights, the party's over.

Wolf is phenomenal, but yeah he's going to stop them from bottoming out during the McKenna/Dupont years.

I’d say that to 90% of people here if I was him too. We’re all frustrated. Just don’t say shit you don’t actually mean I think was his point. Nobody likes the guy on the bench who packs it in early when they are down. And yeah some of us probably take it too serious on either side of the coin as well.

All of the positives right now are the kids. D Petey had a rough game but he's been playing well in limited minutes. Mancini has done well. Lekk has shown some elite finish. And now Raty is finding his game as well, with Willander on the way. You can see the next group of guys taking over.
