  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Uncontrollable?

-Joshua news + diagnosis: uncontrollable, yes
-Demko injury: uncontrollable, yes
-Petey underperforming: Poor player management, development, and team culture
-Miller drama and being traded away: Poor player management, development, and team culture
-Chytil concussion: Risky trade target.
-Hughes hurt: uncontrollable, yes (although he's being overplayed)
-Underwhelming TDL: No way there were not offers at the TDL. They chose not to take them

Hronek injury controllable too?

apparently Woodley said Demko looks ready from what he observed in recent practices and the only thing holding Demko back from playing is another full practice or two and that's mostly to get him back into game mode.
Woodley saying demko looks ready in practice does not equal 100%. Woodley genuinely thought there was a chance he played game 7 versus the oilers given the drills he was going through and how he looked and then he missed months to start this season.

I'm not saying that as commentary about my opinion on the matter. I'm just saying I wouldn't correlate that to health.

sure but we don't have any other info right now other than that.

So for the post I was replying to, which was that Demko is actually only at 80%, what is that based off of? If it's just a hunch then whatever Woodely is saying is probably more reliable than that right?

Silov's regression this year has to be one of the biggest disappointments (of many) from this Canucks season.
It's like the compound interest of crap on this season where almost everything has gone bad. Yeah, injuries have hit teams before, and yes the sophomore slump is real (Silovs), but Miller, Petterson, Soucy, Boeser, the harnesses?? That completely destroyed a team that should have been a shoe in for the playoffs

Silovs absolutely f***ed the team at the start of the year before Lankinen went on a run. So many wasted points. But it's on the coaching staff for playing him as much as they did.

“Monday Night hockey on Prime. It’s hockey. Between two teams, it’s Monday Night! Watch two teams play hockey! On Prime! Only on Prime! Monday Night! hockey! Only on Prime! Prime hockey, only on Monday! Prime hockey! Monday night! Only on Monday only on Prime!”

I love watching on Amazon prime, just a different dynamic, 4K picture looks so clean as well
Something that isn't really talked about much is that hockey benefits the most from 4K over all other major sports, especially for casual fans who aren't used to tracking a fast moving tiny puck.

The eventual move to 4K for all broadcasts will probably help get a lot more people into watching the sport.
