Only visiting fan that I remember mouthing off at a home game was a Sharks fan. Prick.

Otherwise, I remember visiting fans cheering for their team, etc., but nothing crossing the line. Of course, it's been years since I've gone to a game (having an 18-month old and a 6-year old hasn't helped).

oh, so you havent been to a vegas game? those f****ers are the absolute worst. I used to find hawks/sharks fans as the most exasperating. vegas fans have pushed the limits. my friend and i are thinking about skipping fan appreciation night just on account of not wanting to listen to the squawking.

I feel Blackhawk fans are the worst. Followed by the Bruins.

oh i don't strongly disagree with you or anything. if you were to rank the most vilified fan base, the hawks would be top 3 across any survey, guaranteed. im just speaking from my personal experience. to me, golden knight fans have usurped the title from chicago.

Had a Canucks fan spill beer on a bunch of us near the end of Game 3 in 2012. He was a mouth piece all game as well.

The red coats escorted him out of the building after the beer incident.

But it goes both ways, when the wife and I were in line to get into the arena, a Canuck fan dropped their wallet and I kind of kicked it as he was about to pick it up. :naughty:

Who says Canadians are friendly.

This, was in Vegas when the Kings were there early last season (November) and there were guys in my ear mocking me while I was at the urinal. Bunch of f***sticks, they are.

Never bug another dude while he’s at the pisser.

Vegas fans are going to face the reality of the NHL in that one minute you can be in the Finals and the next minute, you are looking at a high draft pick. There are no guarantees. Look at the Sharks. They have been good for years and still have nothing to show for it. Win something of note and then pop off to a two time SC Champion.

Not sure. What I do know is they got absolutely spanked by the Knights in the playoffs. They did nothing in the off season and it seemed like the team did no training, no prep, nothin. They just picked up where they left off in the playoffs, playing the whole game in their own end. I'm sure it's not just one thing.

Disagree with the spanking by Vegas. They scored 7 goals in 4 games , we scored 3. They got swept, but they played well enough to win the series had they scored, that was the issue, nothing found the net. It took 2 OT's playing 4 rookies on d to win one of them. That's not a spanking.
I won't even get into the one sided officiating.
Vegas went up to SJ the next series and ran them out of their building, chasing Jones scoring 7 times in game 1, that's a spanking.

Thank you! I'm so tired of hearing that we were swept and blownout. It was a very close series.

The Kovy addition made perfect sense because the main thing kept us from winning that guy who could put the puck in the net on a consistent basis.

Ehhhh it was not close in the run of play. Quick is the reason Vegas only scored 7 goals.

Some quick numbers (these include all game situations, not just even strength):

Game 1
Shot attempts: 73-53, Vegas
Scoring chances: 23-19, Vegas
Grade A scoring chances: 7-7

Game 2
Shot attempts: 111-68, Vegas
Scoring chances: 52-20, Vegas
Grade A scoring chances: 18-7, Vegas

Game 3
Shot attempts: 69-65, Kings
Scoring chances: 34-26, Vegas
Grade A scoring chances: 15-7, Vegas

Game 4 (aka the only game the Kings controlled)
Shot attempts: 67-41, Kings
Scoring chances: 25-19, Kings
Grade A scoring chances: 10-7, Kings

Overall averages per game in the series:
Shot attempts:
Vegas (72.5) - Kings (64.25)

Scoring chances:
Vegas (32) - Kings (22.5)

Grade A scoring chances:
Vegas (11.75) - Kings (7.75)

In other words, Vegas controlled 53% of all shot attempts, 58.7% of the scoring chances, and 60.3% of the grade A scoring chances. That’s not a close series. That’s not a series where adding an aging goal scorer who hadn’t played in the NHL for years was going to all of a sudden be the difference.

Vegas rolled four lines. Kings just couldn’t keep up. The league bounced Doughty for a huge game too.

I hate Vegas. I hate their special treatment and that they don’t have to give up a player to Seattle.

Glass hasn’t even played yet. They will be good again next year too.

I guess some people only remember the final scores and forget exactly how much time was spent in the Kings' end of the ice. The Kings barely presented themselves as a threat and Vegas controlled the tempo of those games. That series was all Quick.

Last off season was probably the last opportunity to move Quick and get anything of real value.

I'm sorry but it's true in all the sports, a sentence should never begin with the words.. "They got swept, but" , if you beat someone 4 times in a row you are probably the way better team.

As far as worst fanbases, the Avs from about 95-2004 would have to take the cake.

Which is the parallel with current VGK fans.

I think the Canucks fans from 09-12 was the worst that I have ever seen. They literally started a riot after they lost to the Bruins. Beating them on their own ice was the 2nd sweetest part of the 2012 cup run.

Worst fan base, by far, is Canucks fans. But the Avs have some outstanding trolls in their’s.

This is peak nuck fan. This guy is probably awesome at EA NHL.

Not going to bash fanbases. Just want to point out one of the best fans I dealt with were Bruins fans.

The Kings were playing (and eventually lost to) the Bruins. They were fun and friendly.

After the Kings lost, I said "Ahh, congrats. Good win." They replied with "thanks. Don't worry, man. You guys will go far soon!"

That was the 2011/2012 season.

Original six franchises and speaking with complete honesty, all Canadian fan bases, are the best when you go to their home rinks.
