Yeah the PP is appalling.

Stubbornly remaining loyal to Carlson on PP1 is not the way forward. Move him to PP2. It would also help by bringing down his ice time and provide some rest.

I really feel like OV is a problem in terms of setting up on the PP. Pretty much forces us to play on the right side of the ice, because not much good comes when he gets the puck for anything but a one-timer.

We also miss Oshie in the bumper spot as a relief valve from opponent pressure. We don’t seem to be using that much in the setup.

It seems like teams have adjusted to the Caps PP and know a strong way to defend it is to pressure the side Ovechkin is not on.
