GDT: GM 68 | Vancouver Canucks vs. Winnipeg Jets | Tue, Mar 18 | 7:00PM PST | SPAC

I don't know what the score is going to be, but I feel like Kyle Connor will get at least 3 goals. He always seems to eat us alive.

Connor vs. Vancouver -
25GP, 15G, 20A, 35Pts

His 35 points vs. Vancouver are the most of any team in his career.
Yup, Connor scoring against us is a given. Maybe Comrie will be in net, but the Jets can score a bushel, so not much hope for this game.

I expect the Canucks will try to keep the shot totals way down, make this another boring game.

I do think that without a PP or a shot from outside the blueline they could get no shots at all for a period.

I am sure there is a betting line with an over/under of 7 shots on goal somewhere, maybe even less considering they went two games with 5 or less shots in a period.

The only chance the Canucks have is to run the goalie and take him out then hope game management tries to keep it close so the PP is the only part of the game where they can try to outscore Winnipeg.

There's bigtime "Topes Lose" energy on these boards right now, and it's easy to see why. Last night was inexcusable. They came out flat in what should have been their hardest fought game of the year.

Butter soft schedule during the first half is over and they failed to take advantage of it.

They sort of lost it last night against Utah. Even if they somehow pull off a major upset, they've got a killers' row of opponents coming up ... Jets (x2), Vegas (x2), Avs, Stars, Rangers, Blues etc. In fact, given St. Louis' relative strength of schedule, they were probably fair underdogs to make it even before last night.

Yeah fair enough, what a bust of a season lol

The Jets have basically 'owned' the Canucks......although Vancouver did beat them fairly handily in one game at the Rog last season.

Regardless of the opponent, every game is a 'must-win' for the Canucks. But Winnipeg is a team almost impossible to score against. And Vancouver's pop-gun offense is a huge problem.

I imagine you'll get pretty good odds on the betting sites, if you want to roll the dice and take a flyer on the Canucks.

Only way we are winning this is it we spike their water jugs with a shit ton of laxatives.

I don't understand the thread title

Should Put a Fork in it would be SPAF, not SPAC

And sure, people are always telling me I should put a cork in it, but not sure it applies to the 'nucks

Well Calgary lost again but as others have mentioned they probably aren't the threat anymore.

STL and Utah look much better.
Calgary has the toughest schedule down the stretch; and the Canucks are the second worst.

That leaves STL and Utah--and I think Utah has more weapons in their arsenal. The only real issue is whether or not their goaltending holds up.

Blues have like the easiest schedule down the stretch and are on a heater, I'd be super surprised if they don't make it in.

canucks need to go 4-2 in their roadtrip to have a shot at the playoffs.. but if they lose 3 straight. then no playoffs. total writeoff this year reconstruct the roster in the offseason bring in some top 6 forwards for more scoring depth.
