This body language at the end of the period does not bode well for the 3rd for them. They look defeated already.

If this is the team that is going to be on the ice every night for the remainder of the year, they may not win more than 1-2 games.

That's the same body language from day 1 of training camp. They were not interested in playing professional hockey this year. That's how badly Vegas took it to them in the playoffs.

No, Kovalchuk actually gets time. There was a week or whatever where he didn't play, and then he got whatever surgery he got. Luff is just a young player, and WD is a typical coach. Just a bad version of a typical coach, coaching a bad roster. Luff has to earn his time more than vets, because vets have been there, done that, so they get the benefit of the doubt. That's how WD thinks Luff will become a better player. He's probably correct, it's just that we don't like him as a coach, and the team is awful and dead, so why not play Luff more than Toffoli, who is also in the fan doghouse where we're all sick of him? Because WD is a typical old school coach.
