Boeser is playing like he knows he's playing on another team on July 1st. His total lack of speed is becoming painful to watch.

In a league that's getting faster every year, you can't justify paying a guy like Boeser anywhere close to $8m a season. And unless he really closes with a rush, it's going to cost him a lot of money in the off-season.

This. Miller was A problem but he wasn't THE problem. I think given the current political landscape he became a popular scapegoat and punching bag.
Can we not do this when Garland is one of the most popular players among the fans

Miller was showing up, clocking in, doing the bare minimum. He was checked out mentally. We can acknowledge this without reaching and bringing in politics

Pettersson has started to turn a corner big time, which does give me hope going forward (and even into next year).

Yep. I’ll accept any steps forward for this season. I’ve said before, I think this season is a write off for him, but if he can just keep trending up in little increments and get back to himself next season, I’ll take it.

Rest of the team is working hard, but looks too disjointed. The dump and chase looks especially futile when our forwards aren’t fast enough in to get the puck.

I know Tochett isn’t much of a smoker, but you just know he’s going to the dispensary on the way home (srs)

It just seems like he got a lot more heat on social media after the trade that was tied with his politics. Even here you've got people like @MarkusNaslund19 calling him a "MAGA moron" repeatedly.

Anyway, moving on. Like I said he was definitely a problem and we had to trade him. He just wasn't what was ailing the team. Not the root of it anyway. Unlike Pettersson it seems feasible that he would have worked his way out of whatever that was.

miller was not the problem but he wanted out what can you do. like i miss him myself but why keep bringing up like we had a choice he forced his way out. heck of a player but hes at least 50% part of the drama if not more and then at the end forced his way out. seriously if he wasnt so good everyone would hate him

Yeah, pretty much.

They have been noticeably worse since Miller was traded. I honestly didn't expect it to be this blatant.

They've lost Miller's Ozone creativity and will be hard pressed to replace it.
The main thing I find myself missing Miller over is his ability to protect the puck along the wall then spin off and make a play - he is absolutely elite at that and it's something we sorely miss. It draws so many players to the boards, then suddenly the puck is in the slot.
