News/Notes:
  • Connor Hellebuyck is likely the starter today against the Kings. He is currently 31-8-8 with a 2.33 GAA and a .923 save%.
  • Jonathan Quick was excellent against the Chicago Blackhawks last night, but it is unsure if he'll get the start today against the Jets.
  • The Kings end their long 7 game road trip tonight and will return to Staples Center this Thursday against the Stars.

Winnepeg has the most home wins in the league. Kings have the most road wins in the West. Something's gonna give.

We're going to lose this game.

Jets are 23-5-2 at home. Best in the NHL.

Jets have won 3 straight. They've out scored their last two opponents by a combined score of 13-3.

Kings are playing their 3rd game in 4 nights.

Big test tonight. Last two games were against weaker teams. Now we are facing an elite team in the Jets. Their lineup is scary deep. Its going to take a full 60 minute effort of physical play for us to pull off a win.

Think it will be an ugly 3rd period regardless of heart. The amount of miles and time zones they've crossed lately is unholy.

Win or lose, Stevens won't be taking the boys for ice cream after this one. It's a balmy -21C° with windchill in the Peg at the moment.

Missed all but the third last night, but I'm still adjusting to the fact the Hawks are lumped in as a "weaker team". That's going to take me a while, same as it did with the Wings.

Wonder how Doughty's charley horse is today. Played far fewer minutes than we are used to the other night. Hardly could move.

Wait what? When did he get a Charley horse

He got f***ed up by Wingels and looked like ass the rest of the game.

I thought he played less in the 3rd but played north of 8 minutes though he sure wasn't skating much. Hopefully it was just a deadleg effect and a bruise.

Big two points here I think this will tell us how good this team really is . Going to be a real test Now play a full 60 get the first goal Have our pp continue to play well and have the pk rebound while were at it. lol Go king go
