Carter usually utterly thrashes Nashville, maybe he'll go off tonight and they'll pick him up.

He's a better 1C than Johansen anyway :naughty:

As long as Forbort and Phaneuf are both regularly playing the Kings are going to have no problems being awful.

I really think Forbort is going to struggle to find a role when his contract is up, if this guy were 6'1 instead of 6'4 he'd be playing overseas.

skates like he's 6'8" to make it even worse
 
I think Derek Forbort will be an ok depth NHLer when he's not forced to play 21 of the hardest defensive minutes a game on the worst defensive team in the league.

Get Doughty the hell away from this guy and put him in more controlled 13-15 minutes on the bottom pairing and PK minutes like most coaches use their "D-only" guys and he'd be fine.

sometimes i wonder if there's a correlation between playing the hard minutes and putting yourself into the hard minutes

His reach is what has kept him in the league and I assume it likely will keep him in the NHL as a low end 3rd pairing defenseman, but holy crap he is just really awful. There is really nothing he does well as an NHL defenseman.
