The point is, I’m sure Blake isn’t in panic mode and this team won’t be fully gaged until the lineup has Brown and Quick back.

I agree with the first part, but I don't think there's anything for Blake to do. Thompson, Fantenberg, and Budaj are the only UFA's. Nobody needs Carter until 2022. We see Muzzin. We see Toffoli. We see Martinez. We see Pearson. There can't be a huge immediate market for those guys. They're not difference makers. Muzzin had a good year, maybe 2, a while back. Take him away from Doughty, and he's not really anything special. Awkward, slow, with the reaction time of a turtle.

Thank you lord you dont run the team.

Hey its not how I meant it at all! Maybe the kings are having a slow start of some kind, its also entirely possible that they are tired or so.

Im sorry for sharing my initial impression, I didnt mean it in a bad way at all!

No offense taken whatsoever. It’s actually welcome to get an outside observation of the team with no bias. Some of us have been harping on this teams compete level for years. They are exactly how you described them and that’s been the ongoing theme for five years.

If the old leadership was around,if you took a extra swing at the puck when our goalie had it,you get hit or on the ground. This isnt this team.

This is Blake’s biggest challenge of his tenure so far.

Does he make the necessary changes (starting with the coaching staff) to set this team on a better long term track? Or does he go down with the ship like his predecessor?

Blake doesn't have the same pressure as Lombardi had in the last few years. To me, Blake playing it cool, just letting this play out, is the way to go. There's little ability to do, or reason for, drastic changes.

ha ha ha, a blind pass back to your blue line, I would rather he not tr;y if that is the best he can offer

I guess that's why coaches usually coach the way they coach.

1-Fire Stevens
2-Fire the douchebag that doesn't comprehend the word POWER in Power Play
3-Ship SagTitty to Seattle
4-Ship f*** Martinez to Quebec (reference: 2 Live Crew)
5-Give Clifford + Thompson a severance package
6-Wait for Quick + Brown to come back
7-Hire Vigneault - let him choose his staff
8-Profit

For your hearing pleasure:

Thank you lord you dont run the team.

What do you expect to be done? Do you think they'll get their next young franchise player for Carter? A new coach comes in and makes these guys younger, faster, cheaper, or better? In a hard cap league where everyone wants younger, faster, cheaper players, what can Blake do with the guys that everyone wants off this roster?

I thought you were being sarcastic or facetious when you wrote this. My bad!

And your assessment of this ****ty team after one viewing is 100% accurate.

GG boys. The LA cycle game is extremely frustrating to watch as an opposing fan. That second period it felt like we never touched the puck. Kopi is so strong on the puck, Kovalchuk looks really good and Doughty is always great. If you guys get that powerplay figured out I think you’ll have a good year. See ya next time fellas, goodluck!

Tanner Pearson 1 point in 6 games, invisible.
Adrian Kempe 1 point in 6 games, 1 goal in 37.
Michael Amadio 1 point in 6 games, also invisible.
Trevor Lewis 1 point in 6 games and terrible in general.

I expected a loss to Toronto on this road trip.

Ottawa should have been a victory.

I don’t know if it’s coaching or not. System or not.

The players are the ones on the ice. They look off this year. I feel like they are waiting for Kovalchuk to reverse time and are deferring to him a lot.

Kings are 2-3-1.

Not 0-6
