That was not good from either EP2 or Silovs.

To me that's on the coaches for putting EP2 out there on the right side.

I know it was an offensive zone faceoff with Hughes as his partner but seems unnecessary.

His pivot was noticeably bad.

Yep, Anaheim has held its own this season at even strength but the PP and PK have both been weak.

Hughes has that McDavid effect, where defenders start panicking, so somebody is left wide open with tonnes of time to shoot, like Boeser there. Nothing happened of course.

IDK... obviously we were stretching with Mikheyev and Lafferty playing with Pettersson but we had such a good 3rd line in the playoffs with Lindholm there and then that Miller Boeser Suter unit genuinely played like a high end first unit.

But even then, that team was a top six forward short. And that's assuming Pettersson played normally.

And now we've lost Miller. Which is why I keep saying we're a Miller replacement, another top six forward, and a normal Pettersson away from contention.

I do think our blueline is better and so is the makeup of our role player bottom six guys.
