This is amazing!! I am 45 years old and have never seen or heard of this before. I had a Heroquest board game growing up and used all my dad's model paints to paint all the figures. I loved it.
After you posted this, I googled Warhammer to see what it was. I am intrigued and excited! I may have just found a new hobby! Where should I start? What should I know?

I also agree. Indeed, Canucks, please move forward and do not stop.
Kings were supposed to be nearly unbeatable at home and we were supposed to be on a losing streak. We also were supposed to not be able to score against the leagues best shut down team.

Fun Fact: The Flying V was a legitimate play in the pre-PCHL days in all leagues such as the NHA and first few years of the NHL. But somebody (the Patrick Brothers) realized that passing the puck forward actually makes the game fun (as does this weird blue line offside thing). 20 years later, American Football adopted it.
The Flying V was then considered interference and guys like Johnny Bucyk used to get speared by Doug Harvey and Gordie Howe for driving forward and passing the puck behind them for trying it.
Finally, it was later adopted first as a test in Best on Best International Play, as the only way to beat Roger Nielsen's Left Wing Lock aka The Trap and it worked. It's now quite legal again and encouraged (obviously).
Canucks record in the second half of a 'back-to-back' is 'dismal' at best. But as others have pointed out, the only 'travel' between gamers, is from the hotel to bus and then on to the arena in Anaheim. So the only travel barrier would be those notorious SoCal freeways.
Canucks are desperate for wins, and the Ducks coming off a long road-trip, might make them ripe for the 'plucking'. First five minutes should tell us lot. Canucks need to try and jump on them earlier--but goals have been so hard to come by.

if you can find a local Games Workshop/Warhammer store, they can help you out. There's also this getting started page. Basically choose your flavour of setting - there's Warhammer 40,0000 which is gothic science-fiction and then there's Age of Sigmar which is more classical high fantasy. They have 'Getting Started' sets For Both.
Thank you for this! Found this amazing local shop with hundreds of kits for sale and game table setups in store for gameplay. Also some local groups for gaming.
I think primarily for painting to begin but maybe after watching some games and or getting to know some of the people maybe gaming as well?
Go to nearest Games Workshop store near you on March.1. Ask politely for two things:
- "hey I'm interested in getting into the hobby, wpuld you mind letting me try to paint something and get some pointers from you guys?" Usually they will give you a quick lesson with their paint and brush in store. More importantly they will let you pick between a space marine and a stormcast miniature that you can keep for free.
- "I heard someone say that there are free monthly miniatures available, how can I get one?" Every month the stores will have limited quantity of free miniatures to be given out ( I think you just gotta ask but I can't remember if there are any conditions). For March the free mini is an Aeldari Fire Dragon.
If you get both of those two minis they should give you a very brief idea of what it's like to get into the hobby.
Do not buy games workshop brushes or any of their tools. They are almost all overpriced cheap trash.

I will just say that of all the teams that we hypothesize trading EP40 to—Anaheim is maybe my favorite destination.
I can see the Ducks getting antsy to make a win-now move. They were supposed to be more competitive than they are by now. They have many core-capable pieces they could dangle.

Canucks need an actual good solid game where they atleast generate high quality scoring chances.
They're only one fwd who can actually score away from being back in the top tier.

Can anyone tell me why Bains is up? Not hating, good signing and a good story. No problem having him as an organizational piece.
But personally, I've closed the book on him being an NHLer. Just doesn’t have the physical tools. I'd rather have any of the other farmhands that have seen time up instead of him.
Forbort in for him makes sense as he's a much more useful piece.

Please take advantage of the Flames loss. Hoping for a good game from BROCK BOESER. Maybe he's hearing some good news about his contract renewal.
I’m confused. Forbort and Bains play different positions. He’s not in the line-up because because they want to manage the defensive minutes with a couple of guys on the mend.
