Cruicial game in the Hughes race - Kings come into the day in 30th, 3 points in front of 31st-place Ottawa. The Senators are in Chicago today, but either way, a win by the Kings would make it even harder to displace the Senators out of 31st.

Ottawa is likely trading their two best players soon, nobody is catching Ottawa (Colorado)

Agreed. It's going to be a complete disaster for Ottawa this season if they finish DFL, and don't get some 1st round picks. Still they won't be in the lottery with the picks they get in return for Duchene and Stone. They can't afford to let either of those two get to UFA status as Ottawa Senators.

I think we need to have a sticky that reminds Kings fans how to properly spell Cal Petersen's name correctly, without an 'o.'

It's like those who called Norstrom, "Nordstrom."
My wife loved shopping at his stores, too much.

Tonight would have been ideal for a John Druce or Ken Houston night.

Ken had a solid caterpillar back in the day.

If he's any good, he'll be gone after next season(assuming Petersen is good). He'll be 28, and has wasted years making minor league money. He'll want to be a #1, and get paid.
That's why they are adding more young goalies in 2 years, than DL added in like 9 years:
Petersen, Kehler, Villalta, Hrenak and Ingham (sp) Ranford has his work cut out.
