News/Notes from temp. Insider Josh Cooper:
- Quick was off the ice first, so it looks like he may draw back in. n his last eight appearances Quick has gone 1-7-0 with an .874 save percentage. Before then he was 19-11-2 with a .929 save percentage. Darcy Kuemper has started three of the Kings’ last four games. Over Kuemper’s last five appearances he has posted a .969 save percentage, a 1.17 goal-against average and two shutouts
- Shore and Martinez appear to be for Amadio and Gravel for some reason.
- Friday’s game marks the first of a seven-game road-trip that starts in South Florida – one of the NHL’s warmest locations – and finishes in one of its coldest at Winnipeg. Along the way the team will stop in Tampa, Raleigh, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Chicago.
- Sateri allowed one goal on 27 shots in the Panthers win over the Canucks on Tuesday. Even with James Reimer back, Sateri earned another start tonight vs. the Kings. Sateri has won four in a row while stopping 114 of 120 shots (.950 SV%) that he has faced. It has been an impressive run for the young netminder, who will look to win his fifth straight against a Kings team that has won four of their last five.
