Shakey start and Demko had to stand on his head for a stretch in the 2nd, but good game overall for the Nucks. Extra impressive to do it without Hughes.

The whole team plays with more urgency and speed after the trades, it's good to see.

But Brock, even though you scored a goal, so many plays died on your stick. What happened!?

Said all season long a LD to carry the 2nd pairing would transform this team. It really can't be overstated how f***ing horrible the defense was and how badly they were tanking the entire team in so many ways. Overnight the new Petey's have transformed the team.

Pretty fun game and the team definitely looks a lot more composed since we rebalanced the roster.

Boeser looks completely lost, goal notwithstanding, I dunno what's going on with him this year, but it's probably time to move on from him.....

D Petey is a revelation, his steady play and nasty attitude is exactly what this team needs!

hes had so many chances lately just cant bury it. i wouldnt say he looks lost at all...

he looked really good with chytil after tochett switched the lines.

you NEED shooters. hes still on pace for 30+.

It’s amazing the thing we’ve been clamouring for all year - to fix the D - has finally happened and Lo and behold, the team is playing better hockey. MP3 and D-Petey have both been really good.

Leave them as the third pairing and start playing DPetey on the PK once in a while.

Yep that play in the end where he lobbed the puck out with his blocker was classic. A very underrated part of his game is his rebound control. It never shows up in his stats but you really notice the difference when he's on.

Loved Drew OConnor's game too. That trade is looking great, hopefully they can get both those guys signed.

You really have to hope that 4 Nations awakens something inside him because the team is running out of answers here.

This was Boeser and DeBrusk’s best game in a while. Petey just looks terrified to shoot the puck. Constantly passing when he’s in a good shooting possession. A complete about face from when he used to be an (over) confident rookie shooting from everywhere.

Canucks look like a borderline playoff team with Pettersson playing at a 3c level and without Hughes, that’s pretty impressive. Love the look of our defence now, no idea how they can justify taking EP2 out of the lineup when Hughes is back.

New guys all look good and have changed the composition and style of the team. Karlsson looks to have gotten faster and looks like he might be a legit bottom-6 option now. Best I’ve seen Joshua play this season, would be massive for us if he’s starting to get his game back.

D Petey is a gem, many dmen are big but very few possess a nasty streak with the confidence and smarts to impose their will out there. No less at such a young age. His reads are what impressed me the most so far.
