It's baffling.

They looked really good together for a few games and then get broken up for no reason and they keep going back to the guys that Pettersson has not worked well with before - Boeser, Hoglander, etc.

That line desperately needs a puck retrieval guy on it, whether it's Sherwood or O'Connor. Or Joshua when he eventually comes around. Pettersson with two floaty streaky shooters doesn't work.

DeBrusk - Pettersson - Sherwood has been our most effective line this year IMO

They’ve been bad together for so long that I wonder if they’re giving it one last hurrah to see it will click before moving on from Boeser. Now that Miller is gone, there aren’t any playmakers on the team upfront outside Pettersson and if Boeser can’t make it work with him I’m not sure where he fits in long term.

I've wondered if this isn't a 'here are the best wingers on the team, there are no excuses, f***ing do something' moment from the coaching staff in regards to Petterson post-Miller.

more like highest paid wingers.

Both Debrusk/Boeser can't drive play at all, and are complimentary.

Garland is superior.

Thats why the team was never built correctly, you were always asking Miller/Petey to carry the team with crappy wingers.

The time Petey had a good forechecker and someone like Kuzmenko who can hold onto the puck and make some down low plays, Petey had 60 assists+.

Once we moved Kuzmenko+ for Lindholm, the top 6 dipped, and Joshua-Blueger-Garland was carrying the team 5-on-5
