Did the dallas defender drop his stick in the middle of the d zone on purpose? It almost prevented that goal
No player drops their stick intentionally. You get too many unpredictable bounces that can burn you, and you lose the use of your stick, which is far more effective if it's in your hands.

Goalies, occasionally.

Idk that looked pretty intentional.

lol Staal & MartyParty & Fast (and they didn't call the trip on Fast)...where's the rest of our f***ing team tonight? (other than Jarvis as well)

Absolutely not...dude pulled way up and it nominally crossed the line

Dallas player made zero effort to get back, I like that kind of non call on icing.
ehh it's a subjective call, everyone here would be pissed if that happened against us. it was waived off super super late. if it was waived off earlier then not as big a deal. I'll obviously take it though

Difference being that if one of our dmen lollygagged a play like that, Rod would kick them off the plane and make them bike to the next city.

He didn't wave it off immediately because he thought the player was going to play the puck that was coasting in front of him (and therefore the puck never gets near crossing the line for icing), but he kept pulling up, then when it starts to go over the line the linesman calls no-icing. We've had plenty of obvious icings get waved off for no reason resulting in a goal against, that one's about as clear-cut of a wave-off as you can get.
