Hate the start time but I'll probably watch until the good college games start. This should be 2 points for the Kings, a loss here means a likely 1-3 trip where a win puts you at 2-1 and kind of playing with house money in Toronto as far as the success of the trip.

This Ottawa roster is just horrendous. Has to be the worst in the league?

But it beat the Toronto Maple GOATs

If there's any game where the Kings should actually be able to dictate play and shots it's this one. But if we continue to be out shot and kept in our own zone, I doubt we can ever be better under Stevens.

Ummmm trap game I predict a lost. We've seen this many a times from this team.

That's not the team they are anymore. The haven't been since game 1 last year. In the 86 regular season games under Stevens, they are being outshot by an average of 31.2 to 30.7. Under Sutter after the lockout, 31.2 shots for, to 26.4 against. 2.58 goals per game under Sutter in that time. 2.87 under Stevens. They may not have enough talent to play that way, but they're a different team. They're not going to dictate play the way they did under Sutter. Everyone wanted something other than Sutter hockey. We're getting it.

Keys to the game

- The sens are sneaky good on the PP and GF/GP so far this year.
- Doughty should see reduced minutes in anticipation of Toronto, I’d like to see LaDue get PP1 minutes today
- maybe Budaj gets some minutes tonight for the same reason
- if Clifford is in, he better make an impact if Tkachuk is out there with him

Haha, awesome Kings Live segment with the team practicing football drills. Looks like the Michigan guys dominated and Fantenberg has a right foot.
