In addition to just losing all chemistry and forgetting how to pass everyone is getting completely outworked too. Forwards not going in hard on the forecheck and getting caught below the puck way too easily. Defenseman taking way too long to get up and out of the zone and leaving massive gaps. No pushback or fight when other teams take liberties with hits or slashes.

Carbery's got to figure something out, this is looking an awful lot like last year and has been for a fairly significant period of time now.

I can accept losing if the effort level is somewhat close, but that’s not it. 10 SOG through 2 periods against this kind of opposition with a rookie goaltender is simply not enough.

The gameplan against a team like the Canadiens should be simple, it’s a team that likes to catch their opponents sleeping in transition.

This. I’m starting to remember how bad it was last year. I just don’t understand how you go from the first three months to THIS bad. I understand rough patches but this is cratering in terms of metrics.

Yeah it's very strange. They went from playing with total confidence and swagger to whatever you want to call this.

People chill. The team has had a penchant for playing to the opposition recently (I posted this half a dozen games ago or so), and while that hurts against teams like the Habs etc, they have been beating really solid teams as well.

Eh I think ever since the Chicago game they've been at best average -- that's more than quarter of the season so far

I dont think this team gets it... stop with the drop passes to space.. they dont work against fast teams.
 
I really don't understand what happened to our neutral zone structure, we're giving up easy controlled entries every single time
