They have no top line talent... or very little. Structurally they're fairly sound, but no real offensive threats on the top line. d-men have been masking a lot of the offensive problems thus far.

Carbs needs to get the forwards to up the pressure on the forecheck first, then the rest will follow. Guys like Wilson can and should turn up the heat on the Habs D.

I just want it noted that the Caps have gotten even worse since sending Lappy down. I'm not saying he is the solution, because I don't think he is, but obviously, he wasn't the one thing holding this team back.

If you watched this game not knowing where these two teams are in the standings, you wouldn’t believe that the trailing team is 2nd while the other is 21st.

Perhaps but they are having a really troubling trend occur. Their ability to possess the puck and drive play has disappeared completely.
