I don't. was actually going to use my cousins season seats tonight, and he lives all the way in San Diego. The drive isn't terrible from Lancaster though. I take the 210 instead of the 5 and its much faster

It's amazing the amount of roster turnover that happens over five years. Only Zajac, Greene, and Kinkaid (for a cup of coffee) were on the team in 2012-13 with Kovalchuk.

Jesper Bratt's been one of the few bright spots this year for the Devils. It looks like he practiced yesterday so he might be in the lineup on the 2nd line.

Not that there were a ton of great free agent/trade options last offseason, the Devils opted to promote from within and see if the young guys could develop further this season. But so far it's been unsexy results from Zacha/Wood and to a degree Mueller/Butcher. Blake Coleman has been a pleasant surprise as an energy line guy.

I'd love to buy Kinkaid a beer for salvaging last season, but it's tough with him as a de facto #1. Schneider has the yips which is unfortunate. Main problem is the lack of secondary scoring and even Hall's been shaky of late trying to force plays that aren't there (shades of his first year with the Devils).

I went to Devils@Kings in November 2011 (god, time flies by). Brodeur had gotten hurt a couple games before and Kinkaid got called up as a first year pro to backup Johan Hedberg for a couple weeks. I think the LA game was the first road trip for him. I was by the tunnel before warmups and Keith walked out in normal clothes and admired the surroundings. Almost like it was his "I made the big time" moment.

Then I had to ruin it by going fan boy and saying hi / congratulating him on the callup. Although he did seem genuinely surprised that somebody knew who he was.
