There are lots of options. You could even try this:

DeBrusk - Pettersson - Boeser
Joshua - Miller - Garland
Heinen - Blueger - Sherwood
Raty - Suter - Hoglander

I'd be very intrigued by a Joshua - Blueger - Sherwood 3rd line as well, with Garland moving up.

When Miller returns…

Suter - Miller - Boeser
DeBrusk - Pettersson - Sherwood
Joshua - Blueger - Garland
Heinen - Raty - Hoglander

Tried & Proven.

I’d swap Aman & Raty around every 10 games or so to keep them both ready. Not much of a difference between the two, Aman is better defensively and is a good Penalty Killer, Raty is slightly bigger with slightly more top end speed.

Waivers for Aman

Do we still benefit from cap accrual given the Hronek and Miller situations?

This seems like it may be an actual assignment. If so, I do wonder if maybe it's making room for Miller, or if there's another Abbotsford forward they want to get a look at? Nils Aman has been good since he went down there, and Klimovich has been putting up some goals.

Every day they are under the cap they are accruing cap space. It's just been such a small amount. By sending Sasson down today, they increase it quite a bit.

Curious that they didn't send Raty down. Might indicate that Sasson is actually being assigned.

With all that extra money we might be able to add a 2006 Toyota Corolla at the deadline :sarcasm:

Paying Brian Burke to drive all these players to the airport has really been adding up over the years. This will allow them to drive themselves.

Yeah. Me neither. According to everyone who's watch him, he's not been great since being sent down.
Sasson has been very good in his 4th line role as well. Wouldn’t make sense to force Lekkerimaki to play that role, or drop anyone from the current top 6.

Maybe they send him down again and recall Sasson before Friday?

That would be really odd. They have done that with Bains so not unprecedented.

There is no benefit in calling Lekky up and down multiple times in his first NA pro season. Fine with the cup of coffee on the first call up, but he should be learning the north american game/ice this season. Guys like him that you are counting on down the line, need to develop. Give them some consistency and routine this season.

Aman, PDG, etc. are the guys that can be yo yoing up and down from Abby.

Sasson & Räty are both capable nhl fourth liners now fortunately.
Along with aman and a healthy PDG that's quite good bottom roster depth.
