Kopitar’s line looks good as usual, Toffoli and Pearson have had some chances, everyone else looks like a monkey f***ing a football. Aside from the goal it was a pretty even period, that’s probably a bad sign since Detroit has been playing like shit lately.

Well Stevens is probably not the head coach that we'll ever turn this thing around unfortunately.Kings had trouble beating the AHL Ducks last game. But I hope I'm totally wrong and Blake and Stevens turn this crap show around.

Morty, why u step up at red line when facing 4 charging Red Wings?
Did my eyes deceive me when I saw him make a hit at the center red line during a rush?

Pearson and Toffoli both look uninvolved. I guarantee you Toffoli will score more once he cuts his hair tho.

Sometimes I wish that Stevens and Sutter just traded places as head coach. Sutter's structure in the defensive zone is sorely missed.

Would you trust our D to cut off the cross pass? Especially considering the D was playing Brokeback Mountain in the neutral zone while Kopitar was stuck defending the 2-1?

Well you can't do both as a goalie. You pick one or the other, and as a goalie there's no choice but to pick the shooter. You have to leave the pass to the defender, regardless of who it is.

Not that Brown shouldn't have gotten back quicker. He saw the play develop. He had to see a couple defensemen on the one side.

Quick is never at fault, get with the program, it's always the players around him that make Quick let in goals.Lol
First time I've read outnumbered attacks being blamed on goalies. Sure woulda been nice if he made the save, yeah, but that's hardly something I'd get on his case about.

Maybe if Muzzin shaves that chin fungus he'll actually get a shot on goal.

he obviously has nothing to do with the formation of the 2 on 1, i have no idea why you think that i'm saying that. that's on the D for grossly overcommitting to the attack instead of peeling back and playing the zone they should be. worst case that should be a 3 on 3, letting it become a 2 on 1 is on the D.

I think you're not giving enough credit to the shooter, basically. He made a great play. Quality fake to get Quick to think pass and put a great shot on net. It happens. In fact, it happens quite often in the NHL. I mean I know we're not used to seeing goals scored for the Kings, but everywhere else in the NHL, this is fairly average.

Mike Green is technically Iafallo's guy, but Brown was right there. He has to keep his head on a swivel.

he didn't fake shoot, he fake passed

you can't get played by a fake pass, you can't even commit pass as a goalie until the puck has left the stick. the pass is the backchecker's responsibility, not yours.

Like I said, trust isn’t there for Quick, so he has to guess. Can’t say I blame him.

If that puck is already in motion for a pass, it's an empty net goal. No way a goalie can react to it once they've committed to the shot. It's damned if they do, damned if they don't. And if you read my edit, he did a great fake on the pass and shot it instead. In otherwords, he made a f***ing play, something I wish the Kings would try doing some time.

The Kings begged for offensive freedom. They have it now. What are they doing with it?

I was kidding when I wrote that.Since it's being brought up,I noticed that it's more times than not blamed on the defense never Quicks, always a excuse for Quick letting goals in.

Really not just Quick. I tend to give the benefit of a doubt to goalies in general on outnumbered attacks. That's why when they do make those saves, they get well earned cheers and ovations.

Are teams usually this bad at defending against second wave attacks?
