News/Notes
  • The Kings are in a bit of a rut right now only winning one game out of their last 7. All of their losses in regulation and now find themselves behind the Vegas Golden Knights in the pacific division standings with other teams coming in right behind them.
  • The Kings made a minor trade last night acquiring center Torrey Mitchell from the Montreal Canadiens for a conditional 5th round pick. If the Kings make the playoffs that pick turns into the 4th round pick the Kings acquired for Dwight King last season. He will not make his debut tonight as he was dealing with immigration issues and will meet the team in Los Angeles
  • It looks like all signs are pointing toward Marian Gaborik making his season debut against the Coyotes tonight. The Kings waived center Brooks Laich this morning which opens up a roster spot for Gaborik. It appears he will skate next to Jokinen and Brodzinski
  • The Coyotes were on track for the worst start in NHL history this season, but may have started to turn things around after winning 3 games out of their last 4, but still on 4-4-2 in their last 10.
  • Calder favorite, Clayton Keller, leading the Arizona Coyotes in point and goals this season. Keller was drafted 7th overall in the 2016 NHL entry draft.
  • Coyotes made several offseason moves acquiring center Derek Stepan, Antii Raanta, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Jason Demers, Alex Goligoski and Scott Wedgewood.

GO KINGS GO!!

These two teams have done the opposite of what teams normally do. Since the start of 14-15 season, the Kings are 5-1-1 in Arizona. Includes winning the last 3, and 5 of the last 6. At home though, they're 2-4-1, and lost the last 5. They've averaged 3.6 goals per game in Arizona in those 7 games.

All set to watch the Kings get their asses whipped and then watch this place eat itself as if Bailey, Robitaille and the ghost of Jack Kent Cooke just gangbanged everyone’s mother.

Mitchell not in the lineup tonight I guess?

I could see Gabbo and Jokinen having some chemistry, I like the makeup of that line.

Lets go Kings, I want to see an ass kicking, none of this playing down to their level bullshit.

Lineup looks pretty good, looks like the plan is to have Doughty make up some Muzzin lack of play. Would have liked to have seen Mitchell over Andreoff but maybe he wasn't ready.

shows with that noncall on andreoff...

nice opening shift by gaborik

Muzzin is just awful, that whole sequence that lead to the penalty was his fault

Lol looked like Jokinen was as surprised as I was by that great pass by Andreoff
