Is that what really happened..?
I remember it being more of a "Oh man, if he's like this always, think of the possibilities it opens up"-type conversation. I doubt anyone was seriously advocating trading Demko, but our fanbase does have experience with goalie redundancy through the Luongo-Schneider-Lack years!

I remember Demko trade being talked about for a rebuild purpose.

Seems like it might have been the correct move for a win now plan too, with his health troubles.

Team was completely out to lunch defensively. Simples switches on the cycle and simple neutral zone coverages seemed completely foreign to the Canucks.

Yes, could have used a save from Silovs on a few of those but many of the goals were point blank / backdoor chances. He also made some good saves including a couple breakaways.

And honestly it was pretty predictable coming off the game in Boston. I always find it amusing when those types of wins are labeled as "gutsy efforts" when in reality we were awful for majority of the game.

Eight. His first contract was five years times six million.

It felt longer since he was so crap for so long haha, but you are right, I thought his first contract was for 6 years for some reason.

That is so weird... I could have sworn it was 6 as well. I always thought it was 6, now I don't know if I thought it was 6 from day 1 or just mixed it up overtime lol.

Nope. With a team day off, we won’t hear anything until Tocchet talks to the press tomorrow morning.
If he is out for an extended period of time, I think that might be it for the season. We have the depth to cover for injuries up front, but not on the blueline. Right now (at least until last game) we have 1 awesome D pairing, and 2 that needs sheltering. If Hronek is out, we have Myers-Juulsen-Desharnais on the right side, that is AHL calibre. Even Hughes can't be his superhuman self if he have to babysit one of those guys regularly for weeks at a time.

Hronek out...

I want to see Hughes-Brannstrom play together for an extended period. They don't need to be big because the other team will never have the puck.
