I am just very frustrated the Kings came out so flat. The Coaches should have had the players better prepared, and the players should be ready themselves. Vegas is a team known for hard work and physical play (Sutter Hockey).
The Kings no longer had the will to play Sutter's system, and I don't think they have the personnel to play this system. It's going to take some time. Maybe a lot of time.

Is Quick injured? Why is Kuemper playing Back to back nights? Just wondering for my fantasy team.... lol

Thanks for the heads up, I like kuemper as a solid backup goalie. Perhaps he will get a larger % of starts in the future.

Still within striking distance if the Kings can get it together in the 3rd period. Vegas appears to be a pretty disciplined team though.

Better start to period got a goal. Vegas kinda took over physically to end the period though.

After watching the 2011-12 through 2013-14 seasons it's sad to see the Kings get worked over physically. Kind of like seeing your pet tiger die.

Hockey is a sport of momentum as well, giving up the goals Quick gave up are absolute back breakers, difficult to establish a game when giving up goals like that early.

Hockey is also a game where anything can happen. If Vancouver can come back from 0-2 after five minutes, the Kings can come back from 0-3 after 10.

Seems like the Kings got content with scoring their one goal. They didn’t do anything afterwards.

Since the end of the road trip, 8 games ago:

Kopitar, 1 ES goal
Brown, 0
Toffoli, 3(one on a delayed penalty)
Kempe, 1
Pearson, 1
Iafallo, 1
Doughty, 0
Muzzin, 0
Martinez, 0

Unless there's a PP, not much going on lately.

It's also a game of backbone. When bad stuff happens a team needs to collectively bear down and turn it around.

Quick has bailed this team out over the years more times than any of us can count.
