Yet another time for me to mention how were I a coach, I would FORBID defensemen from using these crappy weak sticks.

If you're Bobby Orr, you can use the new featherlight sticks, if not, you use wood.

not completely sure but i think there might have been a player who swiched to a wood stick for PPs and/or PKs so as to not get burned like that or being hemmed in their own zone.

or it might have been an announcers idea......like i said not 100% sure
