It's because they ruled it an own goal. Carlson -> McMichael but after McMichael touches it Dillon slams it into the net. So, it's an own goal on Dillon which goes as an unassisted goal to the last person who touched it (McMichael).

Note that I had to slow down the replay significantly to see it clearly.

Thanks. Interesting. I haven’t slowed it down to look, but at full speed I just can’t see enough deliberate contact to call that an own goal. No different than a point shot deflecting in off a Dman IMO.

I think everybody is just gripping their sticks extra hard with Ovechkin out. It’s easy to have the thought that you have to be a hero with your star out, while in reality everyone just needs to be a little better
