Pretty sure that shot hit his stick and not his hand? It broke his stick.

Pastrnak got behind Myers and Brannstrom for his breakaway but since they always refuse to show how the play develops on the replay I didn't catch who messed up there exactly. Not sure if it was that play or coaches just didn't like him tonight in general.

He was kind of working his hand out on the bench immediately afterward as if it had hit his glove, which would be wild if it managed to break his stick through his glove and hand, but it did look like he'd been hit in the hand.

For a kid just turned 22, Raty is amazing in the defensive zone. He's a faceoff machine and covered up for mistakes by the blueliners with some major checks in front of his own goal.

I don't know 'when' or even 'if' his offense will ever come. But defensively, it's impressive seeing such a young player with so strong a two-way game.
Raty is going to get a lot more of an opportunity to stick around than someone like Aman strictly because of his ability to win faceoffs.

Dude was 2nd in faceoff taken tonight with 16 and is running a 57% this season. As long as he's not shitting the bed defensively, I don't think he's a guy you take out of the line-up anytime soon.

He's basically what me imagined Horvat to be minus a crazy shot on the PP.

Canucks currently have 7 players with 6 goals in 20 games.... could they have 5 20 goal scorers when all is said and done?

Even the 2010 & 2011 team didn't have this sort of depth.
FWIW, the 2010 team had 6 guys with 25g or more (and also had kyle f***ing wellwood), and I bet if you adjusted for league-wide scoring versus this season the 2011 team ends up with 5 20g guys.

Lankinen was obviously first star, but thought it was for the most part a good lunch bucket effort by the team. Couldn't get anything going through the neutral zone, but battled hard defensively.

He's one of the best defensive forwards on this team IMO, as he gets older his defense is going to get better and more savvy.

He reminds me a ton of Sammy Pahlsson, who was such a great defensive center during his time.
