Tweets of the Game!

Feedback would be much appreciated. If there's anything you would want added that would be great. If there's anything you want left out, that's fine as well! I'm willing to give the GDTs a go if that's alright.

Division game. Those killed them last year. 6th of 7 in points, and 6th of 7 in regulation losses, against the Pacific.

Love Kings-Sharks dust ups. Almost always really good games. We bring out the best and worst in each other. Especially with the early season sloppiness, this should be a fun one. GKG!

Great gdt... Start of the season vs the Sharks. Ptsd kicking in. Don't suck.

Not something to joke around about please. Ptsd is a serious thing. Sorry to be a Debbie downer but its a serious issue for me now.

I'm sorry about what you're going through. I wasn't making a joke about people with ptsd.

Cammi/Kempe/Brodz/Dowd.

None of these guys are strong Even Strength players. It shows. Brodz needs to be paired with someone like Shore/Kopitar/Iafallo. Kempe needs to be put on Wing to give him some confidence. Not sure what to do with Dowd/Cammi, both are more PP specialist.

If you ever need to talk feel free bro I feel that sorta thing myself from time to time.

Thanks but I've been seeing some grief counselors. You guys didn't know I was in the Las Vegas shooting, so it's fine. Just no jokes because it's a horrible thing to live with.

Now back to hockey! Let's go Kings!!

Edit: not looking for Sympathy. Just telling you guys so we can keep the jokes away

Yep, and this is the tradeoff you get when people call for more skill in the lineup--not everyone is two-way monsters like Kopitar and Carter. Lots of skill guys league-wide have defensive issues, and though replacing guys like King with guys like Kempe should theoretically result in more scoring, it may also result in more scoring for the other team. It's a transformation we knew was coming, particularly when we saw that line 3 to start the season.

The Kings had the resources to go get a legit 3rd line center but decided not to. I'm concerned this is the difference between a playoff team and a non-playoff team. It's early, so maybe not worth getting worked up, but it's a problem.

Yanking Brodz after one game seems harsh but I feel Dowd fits better. In a perfect world, Brodz will be on the LW with Kempe and Dowd.

We have too many forwards that can't produce enough to be put in scoring roles and aren't good enough defensively for bottom 6 roles.

Whether you want to call it the third or fourth line, it doesn't matter, but Shore's line is our third line in my eyes. That line is very responsible defensively and will get 12-14 mins per night. The line composed of random players will get 9-11 mins a night, which matches what most 4th lines receive. They will also be sheltered with mostly offensive zone starts.

No. We demand that we get our cake and eat it.

People need to get that it's going to take these guys time to learn their roles. As you say there is a trade off. Youth by definition brings inexperience which brings mistakes. We need to suck it up for a bit.

Kempe has much in his tool box that you'd want in a center in the current NHL. He's pants in the draw but if he's showing an ability to learn and improve in practice then I'm fine with him being given time. I can only presume that is the case otherwise it makes no sense.

Dowd makes more sense on that line, if anything I think he's the one that will make it work.
