Someone speculated that its not the knee on his left leg, but the slash to his right leg that hurts. Watching it in slow motion, it could be this. Gotta see which leg he was favoring when he walked off.

Nah, left leg and looks like knee. Right after the hit, he test bends his left knee. He was able to put pressure on it and get up. Good sign, but adrenaline is a helluva drug. Still encouraging to see him back out and test it. McBane looks like he clips him and spun around. If the hit was more malicious, he'd be out for a while.

I've had a few of these over the years skateboarding due to not landing on the front of the pads. Unfun.

My uneducated guess is MCL sprain and out "week to week" with him missing 6-8 games. Really such a massive bummer.

If so I hope they call up Miro and just replace Ovi everywhere with him -- don't change anything else!

I think it’s his left ankle. This is when they collide and you can see that his foot is in an awkward angle from this view. If it was his knee, I doubt he would’ve put his weight on that leg when he eventually got up.

I think there is enough still here to beat almost any team on any given day. Seems we got plenty of people who can put the puck in the net right now. I will be real interested to see how this year's version of Protas does without Ovie beside him all the time, and how the power play does. Ovie will get some rest. It might not be a terrible thing in the end.

Agree. They were doing fine before Ovie got hot. Hopefully Miro seizes his opportunity.

Yea, overall team D - shot suppression, lights out PK - has kinda been the key to our winning formula. Our D corps has to be one of the top in the league.

Hopefully goals will keep coming from Mikey, Strome and others. Tom and Carlson step into the leadership void, and try to keep things on track.
