The amount of my adult work has been in Tysons so intimately familiar. First job at 16 or so was the Toys R Us where best buy is now. Then after that Tower Records at pike 7 plaza. Worked for a temp agency a couple of years still based and many of the jobs in Tysons. While working through my degree at GMU worked at Tysons 1 for 5 years at Hechts. And finally for the past 22 years at my current company who has a regional office off of westwood center drive (been remote office worker since covid though still local). Main issue is just housing costs and the traffic. But with the silver line and all the other improvements and focus on walkable areas its on a good trend (if you have good money). My parents house in Vienna only 10 minutes away is worth about a million bucks and it was built in the late 60s with no capital improvement.Tyson’s is insane. I have had 5 jobs in NOVA since i moved back here in 2001. I can see all of my offices from my current office. but there is a lot more in between them now. The high rises going up. Some cool districts like The Boro and Merrifield which isn’t really Tysons. It’s not a real eye sore though.
