Both netminders played well. It took a freaky deaky skate to get the lead. A disappointing loss which the guys could have prevented by burying one or two earlier. Credit Jones for performing in our barn.

yeah.. they don't score a lot but neither do the sharks. probably gonna look quite similar to this game.

Teams are starting to play the 'boring road game' against us to win...just hang around and wait for our aggressiveness to pounce on. I'd definitely expect Van to sit back and let the game come to them instead of be aggressive like TB which frankly is starting to scare me a little bit.

Guys we will be okay when our team gets healthy.

Also, I can't understand for the life of me of not pulling the goalie sooner when you have possession.

That could've gone better. Two bad bounces off skates lead to goals. Not sure what they were doing in the 3rd, didn't seem to push it like they did in the first. Jones came up big in the first, could've been 3 or 4 nothing.

Man I hate the Sharks!

Yep, Pearson too. He had him beat and pushed the puck off the back end of the blade and it went left through the 5 hole. If he gets it on the stick clean, straight on through to the net.

Since only 10 teams since 09-10 have a better points% than the Kings, and 2-3 of those teams are from this season, they probably still have a little further to fall before reaching their level. Lost 2 in a row. Lost the last 3 at home. Lost 3 out of 4 total. Lost 4 out of the last 6.

Now what they need to do is stop the losing streak before it happens. 5 of the next 7 at home. The road games are quick trips to Vegas and Arizona. 4 division games. 5 conference games. 2 games against what are currently the two worst teams in the league. They can either right the ship a bit, and put themselves in a great spot by Thanksgiving, or it could get out of hand a little. That sort of thing can happen in the blink on an eye. It's already kind of happened this month. Coming home off a great road trip, and it's been more bad than good in the 5 games since.

0-1-2 at home against western conference teams. That's going to need to change.

I remember beating them to win one cup and the other time going to the WCF. Remember them being up 3-0 in the series?
Oh wait, LA beat the Sharks and won the cup. That’s right.

I don’t know how this tangent got started. Just pointing out that historically LA has had difficulty beating the Sharks. Kings need to do better against Pacific teams. I’m encouraged by this start and looking forward to the return of basically a whole line. Seasons aren’t won by November.

Kings are 2-1-1 vs. the Pacific, a 131-point pace.

We're not going to win every game, and some of them will be this ugly.

Not surprised at the outcome of the game. We needed to extend the 1 goal lead but failed in making the most of our opportunities.

San Jose with the 2 points and now only 4 behind us.

Don't know about you guys but I'm gonna start a prayer circle for Gabby and Clifford to be back in top form. If I have to witness another game where AA has 2 good shifts and many ugly shifts to follow I might go crazy.

Kings normally have two good periods and on bad one.
Last night they had one good period (so many great chances) and two poor periods
Learn from this and be ready in April when the real season starts
