Hammer is the best babysitter for juice.

Normally, yes, but not if Hamhuis plays like how he did last night. That top pairing could be an absolute disaster.

Happy to see Booth with Schroeder and Raymond though. I've been wanting to see that for a while now.

Methinks Schneider has earned another start after his sparkling showing in Chicago. Unless he earns the shutout in Dallas, you go with Luongo the next night, IMO.

Disagree. The team lost, and Schneider was not good v Dallas last week. Luongo gets the start Thursday IMO.

Don't worry. Once Hamhuis realizes he is in charge of a little kid, he will smarten up.

But he was outstanding last night. I'm pretty sure more recent performances are looked at over older performances. I'm not saying Lu won't start, but if he does, it's not because of your reasoning.

ballard's play (and confidence) is at the highest it's been since he got here so i guess now would be the best time to try him out on the right side again

he's still pretty damn weak in his own end, which is what bothers me most about him.
he can skate, pass and hit (and shoot a bit), but he loses every board battle in his own end it seems ...

Well he's not the only one turning it over in our zone and/or losing board battles. Most of our D have been performing rather... spotty to say the least.

Sooooo.. Anyone else hoping our powerplay becomes an advantage rather then our goalie needing to bail us out well we are supposed to have the upper hand?

IMO They need to change that entry to the zone Drop pass Crap its not fooling anyone anymore.

How many times this year has our goalie gotten the start coming off a loss or OTL? Not saying I agree with it, I just think it will be Luongo.

My perdiction is schneider dallas, roberto nashville.

If you play good and steal your team a point you a get a start even if your team looses.

Ie. Roberto vs kings started the next game after a loss.

Well roberto did play very well against l.a. and lost, and got the start next game.

We still can't find a sixth guy to reliably play on the right side. Glad to see Edler back at his natural position because that clearly wasn't working. Ballard has struggled on the right as well though that was when his confidence was much lower so I guess it is worth a shot. We have great defensemen, it is just a case of finding pairings that actually generate chemistry ... well in Edler and Garrison's case anyways since those are the two guys being constantly rotated around. HamJuice and BallNev would ideally be together all the time. I'd be tempted to just throw Edler and Garrison together and tell them to figure it the **** out. These guys are jointly paid nearly $10 million per season...figure it out.

Sure, but in most cases this year AV will use the loss as a chance to go with the other guy.

Anyways, doesn't really matter to me. I'm sure they will split anyway.

Why is Raymond paired with Kesler again.

He isn't.

Kesler is between Higgins and Hansen.

Other than that, I thought Raymond actually gave the puck to a linemate in a scoring position multiple times last time, that linemate was Kesler.

I know you have a hate on for Kesler, but I thought he played well, had at least 3 good scoring chances.

If Raymond could have hit the net last night, he may have had some too.

The practice lines have Raymond with Booth and Schreoder, while Higgins and Hansen are skating with Kesler.

IDK if that will go well, I see the AMEX and the Raymond - Schroeder - Hansen as the better build overall. Doesn't hurt to try, though.

I've wanted to see Booth with Raymond and Schroeder for a while now, I just though at the time that Kassian would be on the second but AV obviously doesn't feel like his recent play is deserving of top 6 mins. Unfortunately I feel we are surrounding Kesler with third liners which won't help his 'one man army' type mentality.

AV's mad scientist love affair in Chicago really threw Schroeder to the Wolves. Let's hope Raymond can get Schroeder called back up to the big club!

I think ultimately that is what is being worked towards. But they are still trying to ease Booth back in; it's only going to be his second game back at this stage.

We are doing the same thing to Garrison that we did to Ballard, threw him on his offside and then expected immediate results, because he didn't play like he did in Florida, he gets demoted to the third pairing. I would argue Garrison has been one of our better guys over the last few games

Garrison plays right on the PP so it might not be as bad as we think.

Edler will be fine on the right eventually. Newell Brown is just terrible at utilizing the d properly this year.
