Nice to see Fraser show up and respond after doing the healthy scratch thing.
Parts of his game still need some work but the guy can definitely shoot.

Spooner had his chance

Yes, I was being sarcastic.

Hey while Chara is out, in theory is this squad in the top 20% youngest in the league? Must be right?

Seids/Kelly bring the average up, but man a lot of young guys on this team. Average age has to be what, 24? less?

Winchell's disappearing and Krispy Kreme just weren't a hit in a lot of So Cal areas.

My Mothers first job was at a Winchell's in Westminster in the late early '70's, thats where my parents met. RIP Mom. BTW Krispy Kreme is horrible, we had one here in Fresno for a couple of years before it went belly up. So much sugar you could almost feel your teeth rotting as you ate, that place is disgusting.

Has Paille ever played RW?

If Fraser can play like this consistently - I don't mean 2 goals every night, but playing this well - Gagne might need to spend some time in the press box. He's been pretty non-impactful lately.

I hope the brass are replaying Smity's net rush over and over again and telling the rest to do the same, its such a no brainer

Fraser needs to prove he belongs in the lineup when everyone is healthy. This is a good start but can't get carried away here.

He's not going to score two goals a game obviously, but he's a guy that scored a ton in the AHL, has an elite shot, but is not an elite skater. This goes back to putting players in a position to succeed. With his attributes, you are doing him and the team a disservice by not putting him with a C that can create and take advantage of that shot. Playing him (or Gagne) on the off wing 4th line with checkers like Soup and Paille is a waste and a recipe for ineffectiveness. I would rather see CC, Knight, Robins, etc., there.

As someone else already suggested, even if there is not room for him here, build up his trade value. Just not good asset management IMO.

Great effort so far.

Even without the two goals, Fraser looks a lot more comfortable on his natural side. That shot is absolutely lethal. Pass from Soderberg was just as impressive.

It was a defining moment iMO

Yeah. Was that the one w/ 3 fights off the bat? Or when Niskenen looked at Hnidy during a line brawl and said.. "yah, too bad I don't fight, jah?"

And, Hnidy said.. "Well then it sucks to be you!!", and absolutely fed him?

Both were great.
