NEWS/NOTES
  • The St. Louis Blues defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-1 with goals coming from Upshall, Brodziak and Jaskin and their 4th propels the Blues to victory. This win extended the Blues point streak to six games and keeps the blues undefeated at home this season with 4 wins.
  • One minor transaction for the Blues as they call up goalie prospect Ville husso from the San Antonio Rampage. Husso was a 4th round pick in 2014
  • The Kings defeated the Boston Bruins in tremendous fashion Saturday night. After a stellar 4:59 of Overtime, it seemed liked the game was destined for a shootout. But with less than 1 second left, Anze Kopitar wins the faceoff towards Tyler Toffoli who absolutely rips it past Tuukka Rask and the Kings win the extra point.
  • Toffoli and Brad Marchand scored the other goals earlier in the game, but both goalies Rask and Quick were excellent. Quick made several key saves throughout the game and in overtime to keep the Kings in the game as is the case through many of the Kings games this season.
  • Kings have earned points in 4/5 of their games on this road trip so far. St. Louis, however, looks to be their toughest test yet.
  • The St. Louis Blues have nothing interesting to write about

I would love to see Amadio in that 3C spot and have Laich drop down to the 4C ....

Laich has been pretty good and earned a look at 3c but the offensive creativity seems lacking. It gives Stevens a good dilemma as Laich has been our best bottom 6 center in our own end, by far IMO. I'd personally give Amadio another couple of games to settle in to playing at this level before giving him 3c minutes but at some point he should get the opportunity unless Laich starts adding offence.

I went with "Other" in the poll. Up to this point to close to call between Kopitar and Quick, which is a really good thing.

When Shore is able to play, I'd go with
Cammy-Amadio-Dowd
Laich-Shore-Lewis

Makes more sense for consistent play. Look out for Schwartz, the dude is red hot for the Blues.

I like it but I think Cammy and Lewis compliment each other as weird as that sounds... Cammy-Amadio-Lewis, either way I've been very please with the way our young guys have stepped up. Now all we need to do is tighten up our defense and we're good to go...
Iafallo - Kopitar - Brown
Pearson - Carter - Toffoli
Kempe/Cammalleri - Amadio/Kempe - Gaborik.. Amadio likley gets sent down but what if...
Laich - Shore - Lewis

It actually feels good knowing we have good depth along all 4 lines...

I just realized something.... with the exception of Brooks Laich, all of our forwards for tonight's game can be classified as "home grown" (yes, even Cammalleri). Long-term, that's probably important.

Would like a win but no matter what happens tonight this was a great road trip.
We'll either end it with 8/12 or.667 point percentage with a loss in regulation.
9/12 or.750 point percentage with an ot/so loss.
Or 10/12 or.833 point percentage with a win.

They are truly playing like a team it's great to see. And wonderful for the first time in a long time to be building a point cushion instead of digging a point hole to have to climb out of later.

Yes, win or lose this has been a great road trip for the Kings.

Normally, I would write this off as a loss and still be happy, end of the road trip and all. But since the Blues are our bitches, I'm gonna be greedy and expect a win.

I want a regulation win. I'm greedy. I want the kings to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
