What kind of ******* would install fake virus pop ups on a board like this? It's worse than a porn site. Good job idiots.

I had to block javascript on the site to solve most of the problems. At one point my adblocker had over 100 blocks after 5 minutes on the site. When I was quick replying it would take forever to see what I typed and had a lag of several seconds, not to mention occasional lockups where I had to kill the page. Blocking JS solved every issue.

The downside is, I can no longer see embedded videos (no big deal) or embedded tweets (which sucks).

I get the need for ads, and I usually don't even mind them. I have most news outlets and websites whitelisted on my blocker because I know how that's how they get revenue. But this site with full page ads and stuff popping up covering everything is way too much. If they stopped the full page pop-ups (which are hell on mobile) along with the massive numbers of ads clogging everything up and hogging resources, I would whitelist this site too. As of right now it makes it unusable, which sucks because I probably frequent this site more than any other.

this

wanna put image-based ads on the borders? fine, i can deal with that. full page java and flash based ads that interfere with page loading and typing? f*** right off. i go to forums that make a lot less money than this one and they don't inundate you with ads like this one

First off great draw and great shot by Toffoli. They took advantage and made a great play.

Secondly, that was an absolutely terrible play from Pastrnak on the draw.
The Kings took advantage of the situation there and the Bruins got caught with their pants down. This is a coaching thing. With that little time left, you should put your best face off guy out. Even the Boston feed noted that Kopitar- Pastrnak matchup was a mismatch.

You can also see that the entire Bruins team thought that Kopitar was going to shoot off the face off because there so little time left. As Pastrnak is taking the face off, he goes down to try to block a shot that doesn’t come. Rask is completely unprepared for the shot from Toffoli.

All I wanna say is, Wow!

I was watching replay late last night and almost woke up wife and kid

It was a series of unfortunate decisions for the Bruins for sure. I thought the same re: Pastrnak taking the faceoff but don't forget Krug's ill-advised icing right before it, meaning they couldn't get Bergeron out.

Guys, you can pay twelve dollars and all those horrible spam adds go away. I know it sucks for some to pay the money, but it's so incredibly worth it. Like you guys said, I've never seen a site so infected by these type of ads.

no chance i'm giving money to a company that has a decent product, makes it unusable, then asks for money to fix it

not how it works in my world. i'll stick to blocking javascript and using adblock

Just realized the Blues game is tomorrow, making it 6 in 10 across the country on the road without Carter/Gaborik/Clifford now Shore/Fantenberg. may take a small miracle to get some points out of this one but lowering my expectations. It's already been a great roadie. :yo:

I haven’t had to deal with ads for several seasons because I’ve been paying the $12. I use this site so much and get so much of my info from here, $1 a month is totally worth it for me. The way I see it, they have to recoup costs somehow, so it’s either a bunch of ads, or $ from users.

When you watch the final few seconds, all Krug had to do was circle around the blueline once, and it goes to a shootout. Such a brain fart by him.

I slowed the video I took at the game and if you start the game clock from the moment the puck hits the ice, it takes approximately 1.0083 seconds until it definitively crosses the goal line (ie somewhere in between the back of the net and goal line). It's possible the puck crossed the goal line just as time expired.
