could it be that he was ineffective playing with slower players where he couldn't utilize his best asset (speed) properly??? seems his offensive game clicked when another speed guy(lewis) and a shooter(Cammy) allowed him the space to be effective while allow him to play at his speed??? Also, Lewis is off to a great start for a 3rd/4th liner...

That could be it. He seems to be benefiting from having linemates who think and react quickly. He's also become more engaged physically and has cut down on the minor penalties, which I am glad to see.

Really seems like confidence is the main issue. He played several games this season before his break through against Montreal at home and he didn't look much different then the player last season.

From the moment he scored his first against Montreal that night you could visibly see him relax and grow in confidence. It's been on the ascendancy ever since. If he finds himself in a slump again it will be interesting to see how he handles it.
