That's a bad teams 3rd line on most nights...ouch.

My forward lines:
Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Higgins - Ebbett - Kassian
Schroeder - Lappy - Hansen
Raymond - Malhotra - Weise
Hillier is so bad now, I call 5-2 Vancouver.

Anahiem has solid forward lines, decent defence, and Hiller may suprise. I think the Canucks are just going to walk in think they don't have to work... basically the same thing we saw last season, and with the emphasis on not scoring the Ducks should take this one 4-1, with Hank getting our only goal.
I forsee a very dismal short 48 game schedule. I am not happy with the look, and especially the coaching system the team will implement this season. This isn't 1998 where you can clutch and grab, hook and hold, impeded with impunity... the Canucks owner is not Jeremy Jacobs, so why try to go that route. Hell the Sedins won scoring titles... let's make sure they try not to score, but play defence first...
If Kesler and Booth were healthy, I'd agree, but they aren't.
I am seriously worried about our 2nd line. Schroeder/Ebbett and Raymond are going to be pushed around.
Twins are good against Anaheim usually and I don't see the 2nd line getting significantly more overtime than the third. It's going to be ugly hockey but if we can bang Anaheim around with Kass/Lappy/Weise, I don't see much fight. Shut down Perry and Selanne and their scoring dries up since apparently Ryan and Getz give no ****s if last year was any indicator.
Also, Hillier is so bad at tracking pucks if you just create some noise infront of the net you can slip it low glove or low blocker. He's agile but his vertigo has messed up his tracking and depth perception.

Lapierre did quite well with the Sedins, and we know what we have in Higgins and Hansen. Perhaps those three have can ride as a pseudo-second line until Kesler's back. Or by some fortune, Malhotra is back to his old self.
I totally agree. Just put Kassian with the Sedins.
our biggest strength is defense and goaltending.........Defense=Wins
We're gonna have to be a powerplay team until Kes/Booth return.
But how, our number one diver is injured.
