I dunno, still need more games to assess, but I've seen little things from Kopitar that I like. Sure he is second guessing a little and gripping his stick a little tight. But he has been rushing, taking more shots, open to making more aggressive plays, and pushing to lead the attack. Sooner or later, with his skillset, that should start paying off again.

If Lewis scores 15 to 20 Goals from the bottom six, he would be the best bottom six player in the entire NHL. What type of production do you think 3rd/4th line players produce ?

He has been going to the middle a little more which is good, but I don't like all his aimless circling. Also seems like his ability to protect the puck at all costs has vanished starting last year and continuing so far this year. Used to be you couldn't pry the puck off him, now not so much.

I'm with you. I'm guessing the latent anger is left over from last season but he's driven down the middle of the ice twice now.

He's still getting ridden pretty hard though, 15 min in icetime already...

Not really i big Lewis fan but i recognize and appreciate what he brings to the team. He plays up and down the lines and brings speed to our lineup. He is also above average defensively which saves us more goals then he misses on shots wide. As far as easily offended not really just sick of all the negetively in the thread especially first game of the year that we are winning

Kopitar has 2SOG through 2 periods and about 15+ minutes of play. Not enough if he wants to get back to scoring 20+ goals. Toffoli already has 4SOG.

That has more to do with how Kopitar plays the game and his mindset than anything else. I guarantee you none of the many head and assistant coaches the Kings have had through the years have told Kopitar to not drive the net.

Kopitar is slowly becoming more and more like Frolov in the later stages of his career.

I wonder if he even hits 50+ points this season.
