Gloves repalmed

Don't live anywhere near Kalamazoo but you can definitely get gloves repalmed. It'll run you about $50 probably, and a google search for places that do it near you would be the best place to start. I also found this "home kit" on a search, but I've never used it before. Then again, I've never had my gloves repalmed (I don't buy the fancy gloves like you do!), so I wouldn't have anything to compare it to.

Check out Hockey Menders. They are based in Dearborn Heights, so the shipping won't be too bad for you and they do good work. If you're just getting a standard re-palm and no special or addtional work it will be about $50 plus about $10 each way for shipping. It's best to either call or fill out the form on the "Contant Us" page for a quote.
Joe has re-palmed two pairs of gloves for me and I have been pleased with the results. He is prompt with his communication and turn-around time and I don't hesitate to recommend him.

Perfect timing! One of my gloves is starting to get a hole in the palm after two years. It has worn through the top layer and I don't want it to get any worse. But I've always hated how my gloves felt after re-palming. I was hoping for some kind of leather patch with an adhesive back and you linked it

Also, HockeyRepair.com is a popular option. $30 per glove. I live close by so I've used them a couple times. They do really good work but like I said the gloves always feel different to me and I don't like them anymore. I end up getting new gloves instead. But if you go through them, go for Durasoft over leather.

Did you feel like the palm was too tight and needed stretching? That's how I felt when I had my CCM 5-rolls done. Luckily, I just got nash palms and they stretched out after about two skates.

Nope, other way around. I like my gloves snug and the first ones I had done felt loose and stretched out, just unusable for me. Second ones I made sure to tell them to keep the gloves feeling tight, but they still came back feeling very different. Fingers felt too short and the palm cut was maybe more roomy.
Around that time I had bought a set of Warrior gloves that were on clearance from $120 to $40. I liked how they felt and bought a second pair and I've been rotating them the last two years. The first layer just wore through on the older pair and I'm going to try a patch. If that works, I can maybe stretch these gloves out 2 more years or longer!
I'll check out the moleskin, that could be a cheap solution too.
