What was Glenn Healy saying on Saturday?

Anything specific that made you facepalm or just normal Healy?

He showed a video with the harlem globetrotters theme in the background and sped it up to show how Chicago was playing keep away from Toronto. That annoyed me... but he's just done so much and really we have to stop hating on the guy and respect him for the icon that he really is. He is the master of over the top and inappropriate analysis. Example: Commenting on what happens if Parros died while he was out cold on the ice. Or commenting on Jon Tortorella who said he doesn't care what Healy says, responding by mocking Tortorella for getting fired from New York.

You just gotta step back and realize like...he's got a method, he takes some real event or problem, and he completely blows it out of proportion or exaggerates it, which ends up creating what I am now dubbing a "Healyism"

For instance, here's a real snippet of something he said:

"With the upcoming schedule and his spectacular early play, we may already have our answer as to who the Leafs' starting goaltender is. Bernier was an L.A. King, but after playing just 153 minutes with Toronto, he's already the king of the Leafs' net."


After 153 minutes, early in the season, he said Bernier was the King of the leafs net. Sewers Reimer in two concise sentences, essentially suggesting - after what had only been four games at the time - that Reimer was likely the back up. Healyism.
