Glenn Healy

Remember how before Game 3 between Toronto and Boston we heard Healy bash the Leafs because they never picked up the puck after Game 2 ended because of their lack of playoff experience. After the Penguins defeated the Senators in Game 4 Daniel Alfredsson got the puck instead. Now that could mean it was his last home game in Ottawa and the reason why he wanted it. However why doesn't Healy bring up Pittsburgh not getting it since they won and Ottawa lost.

Why this guy has lasted as long as he has is beyond me. Bring back Hrudey(sp?) loved that guy on HNIC.

Because he's a hypocrite, that's why.

If CBC loses the hockey broadcast rights in 2015, the bright side is Healy will be turfed.

The random Leafs jab in the Ottawa game randomly, something along the lines of "You see Leafs, THAT'S how you make line changes!!" was so stupid and tough to listen to. I felt bad for him.

It was followed by awkward silence and then the normal play by play continued. Healy is just a terrible guy to have doing broadcasts.

That's when I finally lost all respect I had for him. Bashing the Leafs is easy, given how bad they've been for a long while. But, this year was very different, and yet, Healy has to bash them when they're not even playing in the game he's covering.

Pickering is missing their one and only Village Idiot!

He can't help himself. He's obssessed. The big oaf is so bitter from the Leafs turning him down for the GM job, he gets his shots in whenever he can, whether relevant or not.

Not related to Healy, but on the topic of broadcasters, was anyone else impressed by Crawford doing play by play for the WHC?

I've never been big on him as an analyst/panel guy but I thought he excelled at the play by play. Lots of brief analysis and perspective slipped in here and there without disrupting the flow. To be honest I was a little shocked, but I'd love to see Crawford getting more play by play time with TSN next season (and hopefully less panel time:laugh:).

Yeah Marc Crawford did colour for CBC a few years back as well, that's the first time I heard him and I was really impressed. The first broadcast I didn't know it was him and I'm like, who is this, kind of reminds me of Harry Neale in a way.

Did anyone hear Healy last night at the start of the 3rd period take another shot at the Leafs saying that a 4-1 lead in the 3rd period is not safe, because of what happened in the 1st round.

Just listing to Prime Time Sports with BM, and Glenn Healy is the call-in guest for the segment. Healy got connected to the show, as BM and his guest Stephen Brunt were talking about the song In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (17 minute rock song) and how the music producers reduced it to 2min 53second version. To my point, the first thing that came out of Healys mouth was "They should edit the leafs seasons shorter, so they have a chance to make the playoffs— what do you guys think?" BM and SB didn't bother to respond to him.

I know this wont surprise anyone, but the guy is at a all time low to me now. Hes pathetic!. Finding any chance to bash the leafs on national TV/ Radio. I found that he toned down his hatred towards the leafs this season, but now I came to the conclusion that he was told by CBC too tone down the leaf bashing.

PS: As i was writing this I was listing to his interview and he brought up the leafs again stating "the leafs didn't even have a 2nd rd pick to offer for Vanek".
