You need a "Who Cares?" option. And put me down for one vote.

This isn't an insult to your poll, it's just my honest answer to the question.

I get the sentiment however you should care as it will impact your bruin team next year?

That's my point though. It doesn't really impact the team either way. He's not good enough or bad enough to make much of a difference, and he doesn't make enough money that moving him gives us the money to acquire a player who would make a difference. He's basically the definition of a "whatever" player to me. I'll take him, but I can also just as happily leave him.

I voted no, because in the games under Cassidy, he didn't show enough to make me think his struggles were the result of playing under Claude's defense-first regimen. I'd like to see him moved as part of a package to make the team better. Trading him 1 for 1 likely doesn't do that.

For most of the time he played under Cassidy up here this year, he was coming off a concussion. Funny how people went out of their way to give Loui Eriksson 2 ****ing years worth of excuses over that, but Spooner can't get a handful of games.

In all honesty, there needs to be a third option saying it depends on what he gets awarded in arbitration. I'd be okay with Spooner back provided he doesn't cost an arm and a leg. They've already got too much money of the cap being tied up by useless plugs.

7 pts in Cassidy's first 11 games, looked pretty good and then gets a concussion. Comes back in only a week and didn't look himself.

If he were a board favorite he'd be getting tons of leeway or people preaching patience.

Some of the people that want him gone will be the first to complain when he's dealt for a scrub and puts up 50 pts a year just like the Reilly Smith trade.

I honestly forgot he had a concussion. I still don't think he's anything more than as Wally said, JAG. That said, he's a useful JAG, so if you can't use him to make the team better, at least you know what you're getting with him.

What does JAG stand for?

If they give him another year - fine.
If they don't - fine.

Hopefully he puts in the work this summer and enters camp in Boston or elsewhere with purpose as his career might hinge on the next 6 months.

I am pretty much of the opinion that he is a JAG.

At the same time right now he is probably the 6th best forward on the team. I am certainly hoping they improve on that this summer, whether that means keeping Spooner and upgrading the people around him , or whether that means Spooner is part of the package that goes to get a better player

I am just not sure anyone is going to give up much to get him. I sure can't imagine someone taking Belesky just to get Spooner (unless they like Belesky in the first place). And honestly the only other bad contract is Hayes, and i want him to Rot in the Atlanta suburbs next year rather than trading something of value to get rid of him

So in the end right now I am guessing he has limited trade value so I give him a one year deal and use him on the 3rd line and the PP next season

Think everyone has covered the feelings about him. If he's here, I'll root for him like every other guy.

Would like to see him moved as part of a bigger package to either get a top 6 wing or top 4 LHD.

Anything 1 for 1 is either just a location change or getting another disappointment in return.

Don't worry. Nash, Beleskey, Hayes, Vatrano, Schaller, Acciari, and Kuraly will all be back. Maybe Moore to. Ryan Spooner is the real problem with the bottom-6. Once he's gone. All will be good.

Honestly depends on what he makes salary wise and what his value is in a trade. I'm fine with cashing out and moving on. I wouldn't send him packing "just because" though. He's better than any of the bottom-6 losers currently projected to fill out the roster.

I still think Vegas is a good fit via trade. They won't have much in the way of offensive talent up front to select from in the expansion draft. Especially not young talent with some control left.

He might be just a guy but he's also by far the best option the Bruins have as their third line center unless they move Backes there or sign some UFA/trade for one.

Keep him or trade him if you can improve the team

Trading a guy to simply get rid of him rarely works out.

David Krejci at 7 million gets less than adequate wingers and is allowed excuses. Ryan Spooner at about a million gets less than that, but gets all the blame.

Get them both adequate wingers, and I think they both do alright.

Spooner won't be signed for that much anymore. I keep him, try to sign him before arbitration. No issue trading him however, but don't go looking to give him away.
