RIP.

Wow, this one actually stings even though I never met the guy or really knew anything about him. He was one of the most unbiased, happy go lucky posters on HF and had really funny and timely GIFs to boot, seemed like a nice genuine guy based on his posting style. RIP GP and condolences to his family, he'll be missed.

RIP Ginger Papa. You made this place worth returning to (many of you do).

There's something familiar and warm about this place. It's why I've been a forum regular for nearly 20 years since we acquired Pronger in 2005.

I was a part of a vibrant 3D Art forum that's now completely inactive. A Guitar forum that's gone under, and this was my hockey forum that's thankfully not morphed into a bot-filled Slack or Discord chat.

I joined this place in my mid-20s, and now that I'm in my mid 40s' and a father of 2 girls, and moved 2 different cities, it's comforting for me to see so many familiar names and handles, who all share so much passion for this team.

I don't know anyone on this site personally, but as I get older and older, I appreciate how Ginger Papa added to such a rich tapestry of passionate voices that make this community.

I don't know if I'm getting sentimental, or nostalgic, but appreciate this place and how so many posters on here make things feel familiar.

You're like my online neighborhood pub

Cheers to GP, you were a good one. Next round is on me.

Enjoyed interacting with him. Was such a good humored poster and was in life as well. Was in the same occupation as myself and he conducted here the best anybody could. A model for all and I bet he was a treasure in life as well. RIP you beautiful Ginger!
