Bottom 6 continues to be a black hole possession wise. Mercer isn’t a center.

Also some stupid decision with the puck by guys who shouldn’t be making those (Jack going for a stretch pass during a line change resulting in an icing, Hamilton passing to Luke while he is changing).

I haven’t even run the numbers for him to include this year, but he missed 40% of the possible games over the last two seasons injured.

He missed at least a month this season injured. He’s unreliable health wise if nothing else.

He’s a UFA after this year and I don’t see him back at all. We generally don’t bring back 4th line guys once they get to UFA, with the exception of MacDermid, and we all know why he’s here.

I think to call it a bad period is would be overblown.

Neither team got any good look so it was pretty neutral. Both teams defending in the defensive zone has been pretty good.

Yeah, pretty much sums it up so far. It was a sloppy period, but defensively they made up for it on the backcheck and shot blocking.

Need a couple of lengthy o-zone shifts this period. Too much getting snuffed out too early, lots of forced passes to the middle too along with the inconsistent passes too.
