Sad news and a really sad week or so for hockey. Gerry had a great hockey mind. it's too bad he had to work under Harold Ballard. RIP

I remember him firstly as a Goalie in the Leafs organization (Rochester ?) and then as a scout and eventually GM during the terrible Ballard years. If he was responsible for signing Salming he was a great scout. RIP

A lot like Hap Day, one of those guys who made the Leafs his life's work, a player, scout, and as a GM had to fend of Ballard and his whacko ideas for what should have been a team that couldve been in contention.

RIP Mr. MacNamara you deserve the rest.
